A Book in the Hand

Celebrating the tactile pleasure of the printed page and the intimacy of the spoken word




WHAT:

A series of monthly readings by Cape Cod authors of published prose. (No poetry.)

WHERE:

  • Jacob Sears Memorial Library, 23 Center Street, East Dennis, MA 02641, 508-385-8151
  • Go north on Rt. 134. Turn right onto 6A
  • Go east ¾ mile to School Street
  • Turn left onto School Street
  • Take 2nd right onto Center Street
  • The library is on the right. Parking is at the church across the street.

WHEN:

The 2nd Monday of every month, 7:00pm — 8:30pm (doors open at 6:45pm and close at 8:30pm.)

COST:

Free to authors and audience. Donations are gratefully accepted to defray library’s operating costs.

  • January 11:Theresa Mitchell Barbo: Cape Cod Bay – A History of Salt and Sea Ernest L. Vermont: Tactics of Truth (spiritual journey/guidance)
  • February 8: Marion Vuilleumier Robert Finch
  • March 8: Catherine Kelly: Lost Leprechaun: The Adventures of Bold Brave Seamus (children) Marge Frith: Lucky: The Autobiography of a Goldfish (children)

A Free Raffle will award two lucky winners a signed copy of the author’s work. Free to authors and audience. Donations are gratefully accepted to defray library’s operating costs.
