The book will be available for sale through the courtesy of Titcomb's Bookshop. Alchemy of Murder, a novel, begins with a very short history of Nellie Bly's background, but the mystery begins when Nellie has herself committed to the Women's Lunatic Asylum on Blackwell's Island. This commitment was the start of Bly's career. But for the reader, it's the start of Nellie's efforts to find a killer. While on the island, she learns that women are going missing and no one seems to care, thinking they probably died while trying to swim the river to escape. Alchemy of Murder has been sold in eight countries, with a second printing in Australia, and was a finalist for the International CrimeFest Sony Award in Europe. CCMA, 60 Hope Lane, Dennis.
